Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information SEO Comets ("we", "us") handles when you use seocomets.com, and the choices you have. The short version: our tools run in your browser, we don't require accounts, and we collect as close to nothing as a working website allows.
1. Information processed by the tools
Text you paste, keywords you analyze, images you compress, log files you upload, and lists you audit are processed locally in your browser. This data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers, and we cannot see it. Closing the tab discards it.
2. Data stored on your device
We use your browser's localStorage to remember functional preferences: your theme (dark/light), sidebar state, and — if you use the Rank Tracker — the keyword positions you choose to log. This data lives only on your device, is never transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
3. Third-party services some tools call
Certain tools send only the URL or query you enter to public APIs in order to function: Google PageSpeed Insights (speed and Core Web Vitals tests), Google Public DNS (DNS lookups), live autocomplete feeds (keyword suggestions), RDAP registries (domain age), IP lookup services (the IP tool), and public CORS proxies (fetching pages you ask us to analyze). Each service processes that input under its own privacy policy. We send nothing else, and nothing without your action.
4. Advertising and cookies
We display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and may collect data as described in Google's advertising policies. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and EU/UK/CH visitors will see a consent prompt where required by law. All ad placements on this site are clearly labeled "Advertisement".
5. Analytics
If analytics are enabled, we use aggregate, privacy-respecting page-view counts to understand which tools and articles are useful. We do not build individual profiles, and we do not sell or share personal data with anyone for any purpose.
6. Email
If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply. We don't add you to any list.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we hold essentially none — no accounts, no server-side tool data — most requests are satisfied by clearing your own browser storage. For anything else, email us and we'll help.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be noted prominently.
