About this tool

The median web page now weighs over 2 MB — and every extra byte slows your LCP. This tool fetches any page, inventories its resources (images, scripts, stylesheets, fonts) and measures their sizes, showing total page weight, request count and the heaviest files to optimize first.

How to use the Website Page Size Checker

  1. Enter the page URL.
  2. Wait while resources are discovered and measured.
  3. Optimize the largest items first — usually images (try our Image Compressor).

Frequently asked questions

What is a good page size?

Under 1 MB total is a strong target for content pages; under 2 MB is acceptable. Every 500 KB roughly adds a second on average mobile connections.

Why do some resources show as unmeasured?

Some servers block proxy measurement; the tool still counts the request and shows what it could measure.
