About this tool

How fast does a server respond from where you are? This test fires several real requests at any URL directly from your browser and reports first-response and total-transfer timing with min/average/max across runs — a quick way to compare hosts, check a CDN is working, or verify a slow-site complaint from a specific region.

How to use the Website Speed Test

  1. Enter the URL and start the test.
  2. Watch 5 timed runs complete (first run includes DNS/TLS setup).
  3. Compare the average against the benchmarks shown.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from PageSpeed Insights?

PSI runs a full lab render in Google’s datacenter; this measures raw network response from YOUR location — ideal for server/CDN comparisons and regional checks.

What is a good response time?

Under 200ms is excellent, 200–500ms good, 500ms–1s acceptable; over 1s to first response needs server or CDN work.
